Behind The Great Wall

November 1st, 2006 by designfreaks

there is such beauty and power to be admired. Behind the relentless industrial build up lies a perfectly preserved values and virtues from the ancient world. Temples and modern buildings standing next to each other shining its own distinctive beauty but they’re all sharing the same spirit that had echoes from oldest dynasty. Modern pub and cafes flourished as Western values continue bombarding this Communist Country. But the old tea house is still there. Some, still selling ancient plum candy. Jade craftmanship is still highly valued.
Buzzling city street to utter solitude of Emperor’s Summer Palace, China is the place of richness and awe.

Beware of The Dragon……

Lesson from Israel

October 5th, 2006 by designfreaks

Most people probably hate Israel. The Star of David is probably the most hated and most frequently torched flag around the world, right after American’s Star & Stripes. Apart from Iraq, Israel endures suicide bomb attack more than any country on earth. Israel also has a long history of violence and war. From King David to Ehud Olmer, from Egypt to Lebanon, from Munich to Haifa, from Nazi’s holocaust to sovreign nation of modern Israel, Israel always walk on the centre stage of world’s history either as good or bad guys. So what Israel really is? What drives these surviving ancient people?

According to the Bible, Israel is God’s chosen nation. That made them the 1st ever nation to walk on earth with God. Israel live with utmost obedient to their God. They turned away from their God, got punished, repented and becoming great nation once again. In their long history, Israel encountered many rivals such as Egypt, Babylonia, Persia, Philistine, Roman Empire, & Nazi Germany. In the record we all know that none of that rival civilisations still seas to exist today. Many come to crushed Israel, but they always failed. Israel, is still exist until today and they still embrace their unchanged ancient culture. Does this clearly tell us something?

I am not a Zionist. I am not pro-Israel. I am not a jew. The murder of innocent by Israeli guns cannot be justified by all mean. But many things had happen and a nation still standing but others, shaken and even plunged to destrcution.

If we have the courage to ‘abandon ourself’ and see the world from bird-eye point of view, perhaps there are 3 things we can learn from Israel as a nation.

Firstly, Israel stick with their God. Many of modern nation had forgotten about their history. Money and power had overthrown spirituality and tradition. Technology and economic improvement is being worshipped, while the idea of creation and creator had gone to library and became fairy tales. Religious tradition became taboo, and the concept of freedom had been overally misused and misinterpreted. Israel, in contrast, love to keep their tradition alive. The nation is clearly still under the love and protection of invisible power that kept them survive. Though the Israel betrays God for so many times, God’s love never changed. When God love Israel it means forever.

Secondly, Israel learn from history and they learn it seriously. We might probably recognise Israel for their ruthless determination in world politics. It seems like they will never let things go away from their hand and they like to push the watchful world to the edge. Many of Israel’s policies are seemingly “annoying” but most of them are efefctive. We can accused US support which helps Israel to survive, but most of the time, Israel love to take care of things by themselves. But it is all make sense if we look at the background of the establishment of The Jewish State many years ago. The Israel vowed to not let things like holocaust to ever happen again. They will do anything and everything to protect their existence eventhough sometimes, they will need to go through some hard times, swimming through in the water of ‘collateral damage’ and falsed policy consequences. When a nation struck with great crisis, that is the chance for them to revive and move to higher level. Except, when that nation refused to learn.

Thirdly, hardship is a must. The Israel (jewish) had endured so much persecution thorughout their history. There are moments where the fate of Israel seems to reach an end but God let them to fight back and survive. A good sword can only be forged through burning furnace. A good and strong nation must have born and learn from chaos and turmoils.

The bible mention that whoever believe in God, that person is the next Israel. So Israel is not really an exclusive country. We’re all have the same privilege to live and learn from highest authority and power. We’re all can find God and talk to Him. But the only question is: Do we want to learn?

How to solve traffic jam problem in Jakarta

September 22nd, 2006 by designfreaks

1. Nuke the city. When everything is flat, we can always build something new on top of it. Take Hiroshima for example.

2. Don’t buy Honda, Hyundai or even Mercedes. Buy a Tank, an old Soviet’s T34 won’t cost you too much. With some luck, you can acquire it for ..say…$15000 from rural Ukrainian junkyards. If you cruise the street with a tank, nothing will bother you.

3. Buy a Helicopter like Robinson’s R22 or R44. If you can afford it.

4. Run naked. If you’re running at the street in your birthday suit, nobody will harm or even try to stop you.

5. If you happen to be one of those pathetic daily traffic jam junkies, its good to have a driver to help save your life. Just pay him with good doze of money. If someday he quits the job, you can always find a new one. That’s the beauty of living in a country with 200million heads.

6. Packed up and abandon the city.

7. Nurture your spirituality, get close to God. If thing gets bad in the street, remember, heaven is at your side.

…that’s all I can think of…. really…

Should we become anti-US?

September 22nd, 2006 by designfreaks

I’ve had a mixed reaction to President Hugo Chavez anti-US speech @ The UN Meeting the other day.

I know that most people, including myself, love and feeling the extravagant of The American Culture. But while we enjoy Hollywood, Starbucks and perhaps Ford, I can’t help but become increasingly furious and frustrated about the way US government behave and act in this International water. There is just too much greed and lust of supremacy within the highest authority in the US. We’re all now know that there is no weapon of mass destrcution in Iraq, we know that Economic Hitman is real and not some genius science fiction.. and we all know that if we turn ourselves into highly vocal, frontal and resilient warrior against the US Empire, we will be accused as terrorist and end up in CIA assassination list. And the most disturbing thing I see in world today is that how many innocent life being sacrificed in the front line of this illegal war or so called war against terror? 3000 in World Trade Centre, need more? 15,000 in Iraq alone, still not enough? Millions being abused, mistreated and starved to death, or shall we just playing blind game? Is this the way things should be in our world?

If The World need a superpower, what is it really for?

Food Frenzy: Doug Nuts!!

September 18th, 2006 by designfreaks

Lining up for food is ok, but only when u’re in Somalia.

Hundreds are lining up for the taste of Krispy Kremes, and one idiot even stay overnight prior the opening of KK just to get a free dougnuts supply for a year…yes..FREE DOUGHNUTS FOR A YEAR…. I think this is just Nucking Futs! Im being honest here and I dont envy that supposedly lucky guy. I taste KK by myself, thanks for their sensational give away promo. Its too sweet for me…outrageously sweet… feels like the doughnut’s glaze knock all my teeths off even before I ate them.

I’d prefer J.CO…but that doesn’t mean I will ever want to join massive crowds, wasting my time, energy and boredom just for some doughnuts. It is simply not worth it and There are certainly better things worth to fight for in this life.

I enjoy food but I dont enjoy torturing myself in a long line.

Gunned Down Red Devil - Man Utd fans lamentation

September 18th, 2006 by designfreaks

Man Utd 0 VS Arsenal 1

“Mediocrity is a sin” - Alfa Romeo 159 print ad

..and so does Mediocrity for Red Devil…is a dead-penalty sin.

Man Utd is a big club, but today they’re not a winning club. They’re “a fighting club” only to play football driven by experimentation, speculation, and frustration of missing identity.

I am still Man Utd fans. But at the moment, I (still) can’t really see where we going. There is still dark cloud in Old Trafford skies.

I know that Its still too early to shut them off. But I am trully shaken and scared with likes of Chelsea, Barcelona, Milan, Liverpool, Ports, outh, Aston Villa, and even Reading!

*sigh* ….Keep fighting lads!

KEBENARAN

April 24th, 2006 by designfreaks

Kebenaran

Apa itu Kebenaran? What is Truth? Mengapa begitu banyak sekali versi jawaban dari pertanyaan ini? Apakah kebenaran menurut orang-orang itu benar semua? Kalau kebenaran adalah lawan mutlak dari kebohongan lalu mengapa banyak sekali versinya?

Kapitalis bunuh Komunis, Komunis bunuh Kapitalis. Negro bunuh kulit putih, kulit putih bunuh negro. Kristen bunuh Muslim, Muslim bunuh Kristen.

Sudahkah anda bertemu Kebenaran? Sudahkah anda bertemu dengan Tuhan dan bukan nabi atau orang-orang suruhannya?

Franchise of Fear

November 19th, 2005 by designfreaks

Life is never be so scarry. You dine with your mates in heavenly beach cafe then suddenly a Hell-like blast doomed everything. Thatz happen in Bali, for the 2nd time. Maybe some more r coming.

Who did those evil act? all I know that they’re humans just like us as I watch the only remains of them; their decapitated head. Lately, local television broadcast the terrorist ‘confession’ video which was found by Police in a stormed terrorist nest. The video shown the 3 familiar face of suspected Bali Bombing Part Deux, but this time their heads r still attached to their bodies. They’re all humbly boasting the reason or motivation behind their ‘courageous’ act. They claimed they’re doing it to destroy infidelity and they’re doing it in the name of God. Just hold on man! dying for God is great, but killing for God is way uncool.

What is wrong with mankind healthy sense today? the answer is, they’re gone or dead or simply…vanished. The image of terror, war, violence, genocide and even abortion are as real as the crippling world of mankind. We are in war, an eternal war that has been goin ever since our ancestor Adam and Eve decided to disobey their Creator commands.

The real war is not what we seen on television. Its not in Kosovo, Iraq, or Afghanistan. It is not something that can be spotted by U2 spy plane or pin pointed by Laser Guided Bom. The closest clue lies in the suicidal attack of terrorist. But before this, we’ve seen the Kamikazes in WW2.

The real war(or struggle) is within each everyone of us. The war rage in the pipeline of our free will; the war between ourselves and demons. The outcome to this war will trigger a chain of event that leads to its absolute glory; a prevailing peace or gloomed doom. A spiritual war lead an ordinary man become a peace fighters Pope John Paul II. A spiritual war lead an ordinary student into a pilot of terror airlines that plunge his ship into WTC. Where are you going to win this war?

In modern battlefield, Demons has established a strong company and its franchised. It is call The Franchise of Fear and they sell all the Happy Meal of Terror from Big Suicidal Bombmac till Jihad Sundae. This franchise is so global and their killing frenzy become so famous till is creates a new world trend of fear.

Demons love these dynamite breasted, headpop backpackers and doom deliverer fellas. But I believe, we don’t.

Folks, maybe it is impossible for us to stop this franchise of fear for wreaking our peaceful neighborhood. But do remember, the war is not what we see on the surface. The real war is deep inside of us. Are we giving up to Demons or are we continuing to fight for the infinite power and wisdom is with us?

God is Good and yes you can always choose…

and one more thing, Franchise of Fear now has a delivery express. They can be at your doorstep faster than ever…

Some reflections from C.S. Lewis

November 14th, 2005 by designfreaks

Some of C.S. Lewis noble thoughts for us to ponder:

“Truths about our accidental qualities may change through history, but the laws of our essence can never change”

“The only essential changes in human condition were fall and redemption. Nothing will ever change our very nature”

“Progress is made by those who ignore zeitgeist and simply tell the truth”

“Neither our unchanging essence or our changing story looks like a progress”

“We are still sinners, but new kind of sinners: sinners who no longer believe in sin. This is the most dangerous kind. We’re sinaholics in denial”

“..our dark and desperate search for joy and life and power, means we can’t stop. We are addicts only pretending to be free. In reality, if we do not serve God, we must serve a demon..”

The Twist of Chemistry

October 28th, 2005 by designfreaks

How to comprehend, what we see and what we feel? When you feel something, does that tell you something which hold an absolute truth? Can you trust your feeling and made a solid decision based on it?

Just like James Blunt’s song “You’re Beautiful”… “yes, she caught my eye as i walked on by. She can see from my face that I was..F***** high.. and I don’t think that Im see her again but we share a moment that will last till the end” ..

U’re brilliant James, no doubt about that. I feel that kind of emotion too.. I know an angel that caught my eye ..she is beautiful.. her presence(eventhough she is not around) stir so much chemistry within me and blow my mind everytime I think about her.. but James, all of these “phenomena” isn’t everything.

I see chemistry as a blessing. But it can turned into chaotic cursed once you decide to run everything by yourself. While we’ve been given a chance to experience and admire the power of chemistry as we have have crush on someone,..we need to acknowledge that Great Love grow only with pure heart and total surrender to the Will of The Almighty. Our self centeredness shall be stripped away…

Every breathing creatures in this planet has its life cycle and so does love among mankind. Death can separate the life of husband and wife, though memories will last till the end. But the Love of God know no boundary as God sent His only son to die for our sin. Christ was nailed in the cross, he died and gone to the underworld defeat the death and raise again in the 3rd day. There is no greater love than this. This Love is so powerfull, that even every words man try to describe..will never be enough!

When you have crush on someone. Remember, that there is some soil to dig on. Love is not like free ticket or free magazine that can easily be collected anywhere. And if you came into knowing what love is, just stop right there… look up, The One that Love you so much has shown you how to love..

Patience, Friendship and Faith come first.. or.. Flirting, Dating and Sexual need?

Oh that beautiful angel…

Can’t take my eyes of you..

Hitomino Jyuunin

God Love you so much and I wish you all the best
